Common Good Fund
Armadale has no Common Good Fund according to the Annual Accounts of West Lothian Council at 31 March 2006.
My Commentary
West Lothian Council have developed a digital map-based system of recording their landownership. All land is colour coded to identify which particular Council account it is held under. Unfortunately, as they informed me in 2005, this does not include land classified as Common Good and thus they could not tell me of any assets held by Armadale Common Good Fund.
Clearly there is some work to do here. Armadale will have common good assets. The Council have simply failed to keep a record of them.
