Common Good Fund
In the Annual Accounts of Orkney Islands Council, the Common Good Funds and Trusts are all consolidated into one statement. This is not helpful and it is not therefore possible to extract any financial information about Kirkwall Common Good Fund. It is worth noting, however, that the Accounts that the Councils sent us were far more revealing. This is an issue between the Accounts that are prepared for the Council and the abstract that is then published for public consumption.

Orkney Islands Council is understood to be reviewing its record keeping and management in respect of the Kirkwall and Stromness Common Good Funds.
