Largs has a Common Good Fund with a balance of £ 941,067 at 31 March 2006.

Subsequent to our 2005 enquiries, North Ayrshire Council wrote to me on 15 September 2006 to inform me that,
"I regret that in relation to the Largs Common Good there was a mistake. The foreshore car park, Gallowgate Street, Largs is not part of Largs Common Good."
This is controversial as it had been part of the Common Good for many years. It is unclear what North Ayrshire Council are attempting to achieve buy this assertion.
