Angus Council scores 9/10, the joint best performance with Aberdeen City
Council. It would have scored 10 but for the fact that Carnoustie and Monifieth
do not appear in the Council's Accounts.
The accounts of Angus Council for 2004/05 that I was sent are a model of good practice with detailed accounts for each Common Good Fund and a full list of assets. However, these were not the accounts that were published and I am still to determine why there is a difference.
Unfortunately, in 2005/06, the information disappears and we are left with a much truncated set of accounts with information aggregated across all Common Good Funds. it is not clear why this has happened.
Two burghs are missing from the Accounts, namely Carnoustie and Monifieth.
