The Council reported no Common Good assets in either Kirkintilloch or Milngavie and no Common Good Funds. it cited what may be a common reason for Councils supposing that they have no Common Good assets, namely that,
"no common good land values came across to EDC upon reorganisation"
The fact that no values were carried across does not mean that there were no Common Good assets. Common Good assets are defined in legal terms. Just because nothing appears in the accounts does not mean that the assets don't exist.
Further research is required in Kirkintilloch and Milngavie.
